Viridian Consultants was chosen by EDF Energy as one of the companies to be featured in the social media videos of the EDF Energy Pulse Awards.
 
So recently we spent an exciting day with agency Shiny Red while they filmed us working on the Consort nuclear reactor at Silwood Park. The result is a short video highlighting our Pulse Award in inspection of nuclear generation assets and our relationship with EDF Energy.

Another award for Kym: Surrey’s STEM Woman of the Year

Kym Jarvis has been named ‘2017 STEM Woman of the Year’ by Surrey Chamber of Commerce. She was presented with the award at a special International Women’s Day event at the University of Surrey. Kym says she is surprised and honoured to receive the award which recognises her scientific achievements.

Another award for Kym: Surrey’s STEM Woman of the Year The venue for the ceremony was particularly fitting since Kym began her career in development of innovative analytical tools at the University of Surrey as part of the team that developed inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry – an instrument that is now considered an essential tool in laboratories across the world.

Viridian Consultants is looking to appoint a field engineer to support trials of our sampling tool, ViridiScope, on nuclear decommissioning sites in the UK

An opportunity to join the team! This is a one year appointment starting on 1st April 2017. The first six months will be spent in training, assembling the tools, testing the equipment and becoming familiar with its operation at our facility in N Wales prior to deployment on nuclear sites. There will be the opportunity to gain an understanding of the business sector and make the necessary contacts to gain security clearance for access to the sites.
