Viridian Consultants was presented with the prestigious Minister’s Award at the NDA Supply Chain Event in Manchester
The winners of this year’s six NDA Group Supply Chain Awards were announced to a packed audience in Manchester yesterday. The Minister’s SME award is selected from all submissions and recognises the value, flexibility and innovation that SMEs bring to the mission. It was presented to Viridian Consultants for their ViridiScope® project entitled ‘Deployment of an innovative portable laser-sampling tool’.
Professor Kym Jarvis, MD, Viridian Consultants says: ‘We are delighted to receive such a prestigious award from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority. It is the culmination of five year’s work supported by Innovate UK and Sellafield Ltd. We are indebted to Magnox Ltd, LLWR Ltd, EDF Energy and Sellafield Ltd for providing the deployment opportunities and for supporting our application for the award. We are now talking to the companies about how ViridiScope® can be included in their toolbox for nuclear characterisation.
